About OTD Design Co
The story
Blow guns and tire inflators are awkward to store. They're too tall for a tool drawer, so mine ended up on the bench or on top of the compressor, wherever I set them down last.
I wanted them on the side of the toolbox, in reach, without drilling into it. So I designed a small dock that holds an air tool by its quick-connect plug and sticks to steel with magnets. It took more than ten versions to get the fit and the hold right.
Dave owns a mechanics shop in Austin, Minnesota, and uses the docks there every working day. That's the test that matters to us.
The design is now covered by a U.S. design patent, with a utility patent pending.

The founders
Brady — software engineer, designed every revision of the Ferra Air dock.
Dave — owns a small mechanics shop in Austin, Minnesota. Brings the everyday-shop test conditions and the "does this actually hold up under real use" perspective.
Together, we make a part we'd both want in our own shops.
How we make them
Every Ferra Air dock is 3D-printed to order on two Bambu Lab printers running out of Brady's house in Blooming Prairie, MN. PLA and PETG construction. Three 1/2" × 3/16" N52 neodymium magnets are pressed into each part by hand and sealed under 0.48mm of plastic — that thin layer is exactly why the dock won't scratch your toolbox, even though the magnets together rate 33 lb of pull on bare steel.
No bulk manufacturing. No outsourcing. We print it, finish it, and ship it ourselves via USPS Ground in a padded box.
Made in Minnesota
Two guys, two printers, a garage in Blooming Prairie, and a mechanics shop in Austin. We make the docks we wanted to exist — and back every one of them with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
